Our Story
A Guide Born from This Place
Hello, I’m Solyna R., founder of ByLocalAdventure and a local ambassador in Siem Reap.
Growing up here taught me that Cambodia is far more than its famous temples. Its true beauty is found in quiet villages, morning markets, family recipes, peaceful countryside, and the people who keep these traditions alive.
That’s why I created ByLocalAdventure—not to build another tour company, but to share Cambodia through genuine local experiences, meaningful connections, and unforgettable moments.
Today, we’re growing a community of trusted local ambassadors, experienced drivers, and passionate hosts who love welcoming visitors to our hometown.
Whether you’re exploring Angkor, cycling through the countryside, visiting floating villages, or creating your own journey, our goal is simple:
To help you experience Cambodia through local eyes.
Because we don't just guide visitors—we welcome them as friends.

Our Philosophy
"We don't guide visitors as tourists. We welcome them as friends."

How It Started
The Journey Behind the Journey
Roots in Siem Reap
Born and raised in the shadow of Angkor, I grew up watching the world come to my doorstep — yet most visitors left having seen only a fraction of what Cambodia truly is.
A Different Kind of Guide
After years of meeting travelers frustrated by generic tours, I realized what was missing: a real local friend who could share the Cambodia I know — honest, warm, and full of life.
ByLocalAdventure Is Born
What started as informal walks with visitors has grown into a full experience platform — but the heart remains the same: welcoming travelers as friends, not customers.
